Starwood Hotels and Resorts pulled out all the stops when they threw a retirement party for it's outgoing CEO at the Sheraton, New York. Live music was provided by John Mayer. We transformed the grand ballroom into two unique spaces. The first was a lounge for cocktails and entertainment. We created a "W" like atmosphere with rear-lit drapes around the perimeter and saturated color and texture thru out the room. When it came time for John Mayer to perform the room transformed from the cool blues and purples of a lounge to the hot reds and magentas of the club. The couches were pushed aside to make room for a dance floor that we bathed in color and movement.

The sit down dinner was an elegant affair. Each table was carefully spotted in a warm candle-like glow. Care was taken to keep the light on the table and not in the guests eyes. Like the lounge the room was draped in flowing rear-lit fabric. One would have never known that they were in a hotel ballroom.
